Under the CC BY 4.0 license, anyone may read, download, copy, distribute, reproduce, adapt, translate, and build upon published articles, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s), the journal, and the source of publication. Peer Review

The Journal of Artificial Intelligence Systems (JAIS) operates a double-anonymous peer review process. The identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process to ensure fairness, objectivity, and impartiality in editorial decision-making.

All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment before being sent for independent peer review. Editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, and relevance of the manuscript to the journal's aims and scope.

For detailed information about the journal's peer review procedures, editorial workflow, reviewer responsibilities, and manuscript anonymization requirements, please refer to the Journal Policies and Anonymous Peer Review Policy.

Publication Fees

The Journal of Artificial Intelligence Systems (JAIS) charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts to support the costs associated with editorial management, double-anonymous peer review, professional production, online publication, digital preservation, website maintenance, indexing services, and the long-term accessibility of published research.

The applicable publication fee is available on the journal's website and is payable only after a manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication. Submission of a manuscript does not require any payment, and payment of an APC does not guarantee acceptance. Editorial decisions are made independently and are based solely on the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of the submitted work.

As part of Flux Academic's commitment to social responsibility, any surplus revenue remaining after meeting the legitimate operational and publishing costs of the journal may be used to support educational initiatives, including assistance for orphaned and financially disadvantaged students. These activities are entirely independent of the journal's editorial processes and have no influence on manuscript evaluation or publication decisions.

Information regarding the current APC, available discounts, waivers, and payment procedures can be found on the journal's Publication Fees page or by contacting the editorial office.

Publication Frequency

The Journal of Artificial Intelligence Systems (JAIS) is a biannual journal, publishing two issues each year in January and July. The journal follows a continuous publication model, whereby accepted articles are published online individually as soon as they complete the peer-review, editorial, and production processes, without waiting for the scheduled issue release.
